Common questions
Do I need the Pro plan for booking?
Yes, the full booking widget (service selection, availability, automated confirmations) is a Pro plan feature at $69/mo. On the Core plan ($18/mo) and free plan, your site includes a contact form and WhatsApp button — which many service businesses find sufficient for booking enquiries.
Can I sync with Google Calendar?
Bookings are managed in your Artefact dashboard, where you can see and manage all upcoming appointments. Google Calendar integration is on our roadmap — we'll notify you when it's available.
What if a customer tries to book outside my hours?
The booking widget only shows time slots within the availability you've set — so customers can only select times you're actually free. If you run a manual confirmation process, bookings are held as 'pending' until you confirm them.
Can I take deposits or payment at booking?
You can communicate a deposit policy in your booking widget (e.g. '20% deposit required to hold your slot'). Native payment collection at booking is on our roadmap — for now, you can include a Stripe payment link in your confirmation email as a workaround.
